The Limits of a Natural-Material Description

A material word is not a universal suitability claim.

A useful distinction

“Natural” can be used broadly in a product description and may leave processing, composition or other components unclear. It does not by itself establish durability, allergy suitability or product safety. The actual documentation remains necessary.

Put it into practice

Look for the specific fibre or material information and the scope of the claim. Separate confirmed composition from promotional wording. Avoid turning a preference for a material into a health or safety conclusion about an unidentified garment or play item.
