Use Fictional Family Imagery Transparently

A welcoming illustration is not a family’s testimony.

Independent educational journal · October 7, 2026

An empty sunlit activity corner with wooden blocks, blank drawing paper and baskets; a fictional illustration.

A useful distinction

A generated activity corner can introduce a subject without showing a real household. It should not be captioned as a documented customer home or evidence that an activity has been tested. The people and product claims implied by a caption matter.

Put it into practice

Identify fictional editorial illustrations clearly and avoid invented testimonials. Use permission-based actual documentation when a real story is needed. Keep visual inspiration separate from statements about product suitability, learning outcomes or what a specific family experienced.
