A useful distinction
A clothing inventory can identify what is present, what is outgrown and what needs clarification. It need not become a detailed profile of a child. An item’s place in the inventory also does not establish its suitability for a coming season or activity.
Put it into practice
Use an item identifier, size label, condition note and storage location. Review care instructions and actual needs separately. Keep the record private where it contains family information, and avoid shopping recommendations based only on a count or a styled wardrobe photograph.
